When should I book?
Booking well in advance for a family session is recommended! Session dates are first come, first served and are only held once a retainer has been received. Please don’t wait if you’re hoping for a fall or spring date. These go really fast!
What happens if one of us is sick?
We’ll reschedule if you’re sick, and we’ll also reschedule if I’m sick! Never feel you need to push through for me. It’s more important that everyone is feeling and looking their best. Please let me know as soon as possible so I can work to reschedule, at least 24 hours notice.
Note: mini session cancellations will be rebooked as a family session, since mini session prices are for that day only.
What if I miss or can’t make my mini session time?
Because mini sessions are tightly scheduled and offered on limited dates, my first option will be to move you to another mini session date if one is available. If no other mini date works, your retainer can be applied toward a full family session, and we’ll find a date and time that works for both of us.
What if the weather forecast looks awful?
We live in VB, so there’s always a chance of a rainy forecast, no matter the season! If it’s raining, we’ll reschedule. If the forecast looks wet, we can make the call the night before or play it by ear and wait ’til morning. I’ll be in touch in the days leading up to your session to chat about our options.
How would you like to be paid?
A retainer is required to book. Retainers are non-refundable, since I’m holding the date for you and turning away other clients.
Full payment is due on the day of your session. Cash or Venmo is great!
How long before I receive my photos?
Within 3–4 days: a few sneak peek photos. These sometimes go on Instagram or Facebook, so feel free to tag yourself and share with friends and family!
Within 3–4 weeks: your full, secure online gallery.

What should I wear?
The goal is that you feel amazing in what you wear, which means being comfortable too. A few choices can make your session that little bit extra special to look back on.
Neutrals are timeless
But I get that may not be your aesthetic! I’m always happy to look at outfits and give suggestions. Let’s chat.
Flowy + textured
Flowy skirts, maxi dresses, or classic basics layered with texture like kimonos and cardigans photograph beautifully.
Skip the logos (and neon!)
Pretty, pretty please avoid big graphics, logos or lettering, and too many mixed patterns. And most importantly, please don’t wear neon.
Coordinate, don’t match
Complementary colors look great, just not matchy-matchy! Mom, pick your outfit first (treat yourself to something you love) and build the family around you.
